We've had two litters of six healthy puppies, so there are 12 happy new owners so far this year. And we have just bred another girl. I have opened up the waiting list for additions again, and it has become pretty long again. But you're welcome to apply to be added if you are ready to wait for a puppy. Several shows have finally been scheduled in MI, so we will be starting that again beginning the end of next month. Unfortunately, at this time, they are still saying no spectators, only those entered in the show are being allowed in. Hope everyone has a nice summer in spite of the remaining restrictions we must follow.
SnugglePugstag:snugglepugs.com,2005:Post/63448162020-06-06T16:58:32-04:002023-12-10T13:50:31-05:00June 2020 News
This year has not gone as planned due to the virus lockdown. We had just entered our first shows in April, which then got cancelled. So we've just been at home like most of the rest of you. Breeding has not been very fruitful so far this year, either, which is frustrating because the puppy inquiries have greatly increased. My waitiing list has gotten so long, I had to stop taking names. We do hope to have a couple litters, and hopefully will be able to start showing again.

There are three boys and three girls, all fawns, first offspring of our young Champion Billy. (Ch. Snugglepugs 'N Stealthbarkers Hey Good Lookin') who we co-own with Jan Killoran. We plan to breed more of our girls as they come into heat, We should have a nice offering of pups as we finished four champions last year and they will be the parents of most of the pups.

We do plan to do more showing this year, too. We will be specialing Billy for his Grand Championship, and maybe Casino too. We have a young female to start showing, too. We won't begin until we get past this horrid winter weather, so look for us sometime in the spring. We look forward to seeing our show friends. And talk about looking forward, we also plan to attend the Pug National show again this year in Maryland in the fall.
SnugglePugstag:snugglepugs.com,2005:Post/34442532014-12-29T17:17:52-05:002022-08-22T22:21:11-04:00Holiday GreetingsThis is a bit late, but we here at SnugglePugs wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year! I've been quite remiss in sending any info out this year, so I will try to catch you up on our events. Daughter Brenda had some reconstructive surgery in Feb. and had complications so was in and out of the hospital several times. She does all our showing, so it was rough going for her those first months. But she did finish our pretty girl, Faith, and also finished Woody's Grand Championship. Points towards championships were earned on others for us and also for some of our friends' dogs that Brenda showed.

In February, we got a new male puppy, Leo, who is a son of Rufus, one of the top-winning Pugs in the U.S. You may have seen him on TV on Thanksgiving in the National Dog Show winning a Group Three (third place of all the Toy Group Best of Breed winners). Rufus has won several Best in Shows. We hope Leo will follow in his daddy's footsteps. We have shown him a few times this fall, and he has nine points towards his championship. One weekend he was Puppy Toy Group One, that was exciting. You can see pictures of Leo on our website on the "Photos" page.

The Pug Nationals were held in Chattnooga, TN, this year, and we caravanned there with our friends Jackie and Harold Lowrie in our respective motorhomes. We didn't have any big wins like we did last year, but we did okay and had a great week. So much fun seeing our friends from all over the country. A Pug we bred and sold to Katy Mallory in West Virginia did fantastic in the agility competition, winning a pile of ribbons including three huge blue ones. We are so proud of her and Katy! We are looking forward to going again this year, they are being held in PA.

We had three litters of pups this year, one we enjoyed sharing Christmas with - they are just four weeks old. Hope your Christmas was nice, too.

Our future plans? We are just looking forward to another successful year at the shows, and maybe a couple of litters of cute Pug babies.

Joan, Gary, Brenda, and all the SnugglePugsSnugglePugstag:snugglepugs.com,2005:Post/18203532013-10-09T16:57:54-04:002020-09-20T08:40:02-04:00Latest litterWe had a litter born on Labor Day sired by Woody (Ch. The following days of this show he also went Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex - so he has a nice start on his GRAND Championship. We thank Susan DeHaan of CA for letting us have this great little dog! And also thank you to Steve and Debbie Baldwin of CA (owners of Bozz, Woody's sire) for their assistance in making this dream possible for us!SnugglePugstag:snugglepugs.com,2005:Post/6252282013-03-30T20:00:00-04:002022-03-03T06:52:28-05:00Ch. We arrived on Sunday afternoon. The drive through the mountains was beautiful! We did not stay at the show site, but at a campground about 20 minutes away. So we had water, electric, and cable TV (none of which were available at the show site). Our friends, Ron and Rita Oates from Maryland camped right next to us, and we had a really nice time visiting when not showing. The shows did keep us pretty busy, though, and did not really have any sightseeing time. We showed mostly young kids, who did well for their first shows, made some cuts but no placings. However, we did do well in the Broodbitch class with our Leelee and her daughters, our Dahtay and Ron and Rita's Gidget. They got third at Central Carolina, and first at the PDCA National Specialty. Also, a young male of our breeding, owned by Bonny Allegro of High Point, NC, did very well with two firsts and two thirds. We were so happy to be able to meet Bonny in person after a year of friendship via email. We also were able to meet Steve and Debbie Baldwin from CA, whom we have know for about 10 years but never met. We fell in love with the male they had along and booked our Leelee to be bred to him.

So we had a great time and even won prizes in the bag raffle drawings - Brenda won 3, Rita won 1, and I won !. Had fun chatting with many at ringside and making new friends also. Next year the Nationals are in Ohio, so we should be able to make it there again then.
SnugglePugstag:snugglepugs.com,2005:Post/6252372009-08-24T20:00:00-04:002023-12-10T11:51:39-05:00Charity litter08-25-2009 - Charity (SnugglePugs In A Heartbeat) whelped two nice strong females, daddy is SnugglePugs Albert Pugstein.
